Ash Ruder is a California-raised, Nashville based singer-songwriter whose emotionally honest storytelling bridges country and pop. Hailing from the farm town of Turlock, CA, she grew up immersed in music before gaining national attention as a standout contestant on ABC’s American Idol. Following her time on the show, Ash relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, where she quickly established herself as a respected songwriter.

In 2024, Ash stepped into the spotlight as a recording artist with her debut single,

“The Valley,” a nostalgic reflection on her Central Valley roots which earned her the distinction of CMT’s Next Up artist in October of the same year. She signed with Riser House Entertainment in 2025 with her first release “Blue Genes,” a beautifully raw ballad weaving together themes of family legacy and mental health. The song resonated deeply with listeners, amounting 27 million views across social platforms and earning Ash features on CBS, Taste of Country, Fox News, and more. In October she released her first EP Miss California, a six song project mapping her journey from California to Tennessee.

“Ash Ruder doesn’t just sing about growing up, she captures what it feels like. Miss California isn’t just a debut; it’s an arrival, equal parts heart and horizon.”
